Dear Loleta Families and Loleta Board Members!
Happy Holidays!!! It is amazing how quickly time has flown! We are about to welcome another new year! I believe I am not alone in saying goodbye to 2020 will be a blessing! The hope and renewal that comes in a new year is to be embraced and cherished! 2020 has been difficult but with the coming of the vaccines and our being prepared for in person learning or Distance Learning, we face the challenges of 2021 equipped and ready to bring a first rate education to all of our students!
At this point in time we plan to follow our original plan with the “pause” continuing until Tuesday January 19th. In other words 100% DL will begin again on January 4th and beyond that for another week to finish the winter break quarantine period. In-person school resumes using our hybrid method on Tuesday January 19th after the Martin Luther King Holiday. We thank you for helping us make the safety and health of our students and your families our priority through this terrible time.
Packets will be delivered on Monday, January 4th for that first weeks work and picked up on Friday as we have been doing. The food delivery schedule will continue as it has until we begin hybrid learning once again. We will be putting out a survey to see if any of you have changed your mind about coming to campus or moving to Distance Learning for the second trimester.
The following is the cafeteria’s food delivery schedule:
● Mon/Fri: No delivery
● Tue: Cafeteria Pick up available for those students who live close to school. LES staff members, and Rainbow Junction pick up will be between 11 and 12 (noon). Table
Bluff/Wiyot area will be between 1:00 – 2:00 pm.
● Wed: Bear River will have food delivered between 1:00 – 2:00 pm
● Thurs: Loleta areas between 1:00 – 2:00 and students outside of Loleta to be determined on the day.
More information will be provided on our website at https://loletaschool.org
We hope you enjoyed Santa’s gifts! We sure enjoyed being honorary Santa Elves!
For now, please stay safe and keep your families close! Enjoy the time and sunshine between the storms! We do ask that you please reconsider traveling outside the county as the CDC and our public health officers have requested so we can decrease the covid spread and get in person learning going again.
January’s Board Meeting will be on January 14 at 5:30. Please see our website for more information. ELAC will have its meeting Tuesday January 12 at 6:00. The Stakeholder’s Meeting (soon to be renamed) January 13 and January 27 at 4:30. Zoom links will be shared on the website!
